Research Networks

Neuroscience, Drug Design & Delivery, Molecular Medicine or Bioinformatics

Eligibility

Looking for Graduate Students pursuing their Masters' or PhD Degrees in a Biomedical Field related to Neuroscience, Drug Design & Delivery, Molecular Medicine or Bioinformatics.

Selection criteria will include academic excellence (3.0 GPA minimum) and a demonstrated interest in research.

Benefits

  • $15,000.00 stipend per year.

Requirements

Persons who wish to apply must present high quality proposals (5 Pages limit) to work on multidisciplinary research within a relevant Research Network. A scientific panel will, competitively review student proposals, which must be developed in collaboration with their faculty research mentor(s). Applications will include three (3) letters of recommendation (one of which must be from the research faculty mentor), a Statement of Purpose describing the students' long-term career goals, and an official transcript. Chosen students will be required to participate in a research project during the nine months of the academic year and throughout the summer months.

Note: Awards will be made for one (1) year, but students are eligible to reapply if they previously have received fellowships. This does include those fellowships given by the Puerto Rico BRIN program.
