Neuroscience, Drug Design & Delivery, Molecular Medicine or Bioinformatics
Eligibility
Looking for 10 Undergraduate Students pursuing a research project in a Biomedical Field related to Neuroscience, Drug Design & Delivery, Molecular Medicine or Bioinformatics.
- Selection criteria will include academic excellence (3.0 GPA minimum) and a demonstrated interest in research.
- Students must participate in a AABRE sponsored research project during the academic year.
- Students must participate in a AABRE-related summer research internship.
Priority will be given to students who satisfy one or both of the following criteria:
- student working with a junior faculty funded by the AABRE program or other NIH program
- student of non-PhD granting institutions (Primarily Undergraduate Institution)
Benefits
- $6,000.00 stipend per year.
Requirements
Persons who wish to apply must present high quality proposals (2 Pages limit) to work on multidisciplinary research within a relevant Research Network. Applications will include a (1) letter of recommendation from the research faculty mentor and an official transcript. Chosen students will be required to participate in a research project during the nine months of the academic year and throughout the summer months.

Note: Awards will be made for one (1) year, but students are eligible to reapply if they previously have received fellowships. This does include those fellowships given by the Puerto Rico BRIN program. Application Forms
